(Formerly known as Advanced Defensive Pistol 1.0)
Defensive Pistol 2.0 picks up where 1.0 left off with next-level defensive pistol training with more challenging drills to further enhance your skills.
Participants will learn:
- How to effectively engage multiple targets (transitions)
- Tactical movement and shooting on the move
- Moving to and shooting from cover
- Defensive mindset, shooting to stop the threat, shot accountability
- Review of drawing, holstering, reloading, and clearing malfunctions efficiently
Prerequisite: Students need to have taken either our Defensive Pistol 1.0 class OR another handgun class drawing from a holster with a recognized trainer/academy before taking this class. Contact us if you’re unsure if you have the required prerequisite for this class. Participants must possess and present a valid Massachusetts LTC (resident or non-resident).
Note: This course requires physical activity including kneeling and running for short distances. Please be realistic about your abilities. Class is held outdoors.

Class will return in the spring of 2025.
Price: $180 per student ($160 for DF&GC members). After submitting your registration form (below), you will be contacted regarding payment. We accept Venmo and credit cards. Do not pay until contacted with either a credit card or Venmo invoice from us. Payment is typically due within 24 hours of invoicing in order to reserve your spot in the class.
This class is held outdoors at Danvers Fish & Game Club in Middleton, MA, and both club members and non-members may register to attend.
